What a month! Officially expecting our second child! First hair cut of our toddler. Plenty of work to keep me busy and incidentally less time to develop photos or blog. Don’t worry my friends, I’ve still kept up the dailies, even if the publishing happens in spurts.
When you are strapped for time you don’t have the extra luxury for fiddling in the darkroom as much. So all photos for as long as I can remember (months) have been pure Lightroom basic developing. I love Nix, and just saw this first look for Color Efex Pro 4.0. Cool stuff, but I’ve not had the time to play extensively recently – plus, despite all my Nik love I am a huge fan and advocate of Lightroom’s core abilities.
As such here is a lovely recent shot which I used my 100mm f/2.8L macro to make. playing with the angles and contrast between and foregrounds. I took a few shots to experiment and this one with the bright background worked best IMHO. Again, the contrast… A small about of LR work, namely bumping the blacks and clarity up. All that gorgeous colour (that’s English for color BTW)… natures autumnal graphics processing engine.
