There was a surprising amount going on in this shot. I actually really enjoy a “wide” shot I made of the whole scene, the sky, the sun (which provided the back light). But this was the most aesthetically pleasing to me.

Somehow a photo of my family managed to find its way into the project again <grin>. Objective with this photo was to take a shot backlit by the sun on a very bright and decidedly sunny day. I like how it turned out, challenging lighting adding a visual punch and my eye gets trapped in the acute line from bottom left to top right. Traveling from statue to son to mother to sun and back again.

What a lovely evening for photography down at Gasworks Park in Seattle. Several very nice photos but this one wins for today’s 365 Project.

A higher resolution view of the picture shows off the stars rather more clearly.

I love how this photo turned out, multiple layers and textures.

The large amount of negative space in the top right is bothersome to me, but I like it otherwise. I may well have to revisit this location and get permission to enter the dock.
